You are lonely but never alone!

Do you feel lonely?

Don’t worry…You are not alone who feel the same way.

Everyone feels lonely, empty, and isolated at some point in life.

Here I shall discuss no mumbo jumbo tactics to beat loneliness.

1. Acceptance

Accept your feelings. Do not try to suppress them to show you have a perfect life. Everyone feels lonely, but very few acknowledge this by accepting their feelings.

“Acknowledging your feelings is the best way of healing within you.”

2. Self-work

I always emphasize doing self-work to feel content in life. Contentment is not something you are born with. Contentment is a habit that can be practiced and developed.

The more you discover yourself by working on yourself, the better you get at accompanying your soul.

3. Shaking your body

Do Exercise, Yoga, and Zumba regularly.

For Mind, Body, Soul opt meditation practices and breathing techniques.

4. Break Some Myths

If you think, if you have 1000 people around and 500 friends to hang out with you, you will not feel lonely, then you are mistaken.

If you think, if you are rich you will not feel lonely…you are mistaken.

If you think, if you are successful and have met all your expectations, then you will not feel lonely…you are mistaken.

Loneliness is a state of mind and it has nothing to do with your material possessions or how many people are around you.

5. Journal Writing

If you can’t vent out when you feel lonely with your near and dear ones then pen down how you feel on paper. Write how sad and low you feel about being lonely. Once you write, think about the root cause of loneliness and make an action plan that can help to deal with loneliness.

6. Respect “Me” time

Your “lonely” time is your “Me” time. Cherish it. There are so many people out there struggling to take out time for themselves.

You are lucky enough. You already have this!

Perception of the situation matters a lot. Here the situation you are in is not comfortable but you can make it comfortable by changing your perception.

7. Enjoy Hobbies with Mindfulness

Get engaged in enjoying your hobbies. You need not have fancy hobbies here. If you like lying down on the grass in the backyard, do that. If you like walking in the rain, go for that. If you like rolling in your comfy bed, roll like nobody is watching you (I do this a lot. LOL!). If you like to observe cloud shapes, observe them.

Watching clouds pass by and sink into their unique shapes…

Walking on the wet grass barefoot…

Walking on the beach, on tickling sand…

Paving your way through waves…

Watching colorful sunset…

Watching the stars by lying in the backyard…

Mindfulness needs no big things to embrace. These small things do teach the "power of now". Try them.

8. Think of Owning a Pet

They are the best and the most honest buddies ever. Think of owning a pet. They understand your feelings better than human beings.

9. Get engaged in Social Cause

Get connected with social causes. You would get to see how privileged you are. When you work for others to make their life better, automatically your life improves. When you decide to heal others somehow the universe heals you.

10. Solo, Solo

Go on a solo trip. Solo Ride. Solo shopping. Solo morning walk. Solo moonwalk. Solo hiking. Solo movie watching. (I like this as nobody is there to share my tub of popcorns.) :D

11. No Virtual World

Everything seems happy and perfect here, but it is an illusion.

Everything seems real here, but it is just an illusion.

Do not get addicted to the virtual world.

Try to enjoy the real world by spending quality time with loved ones.

12. Get help from Google

There are a lot of motivational and inspirational videos and quotes online. Online you will come across captivating self-help content that may help you a lot along with my content.
